Im wondering because i bear hunt alot and we go into the woods when they get treed or bayed up and i dont want to carry a rifle in, its really thick where i hunt. Im usually not the one that takes them in the woods but incase it comes out i want to have the comfort of knowing i have something to take it down if it comes to close.

But in any case you probably only have a few seconds of time to shoot before the bear is on top of you, so with an MP5 that is probably Handguns I would want at least a .40 cal working for me.
